Target audience

Persons holding a valid SST or MAC certificate.

Educational objectives

• Update and refresh the skills of the Workplace First Aider.
• Intervene appropriately and effectively in the event of a work accident or illness.

Prerequisites

• Hold a valid SST or MAC certificate.
• Training organized for a group of 4 to 10 people.

Educational and technical tools

• Computer, video projector, slideshows, photos, videos.
• OHS intervention plan.
• First aid kit for practical exercises.
• Adult, child and infant mannequin.
• Hygiene-related mannequin accessories.
• Automated External Defibrillator (AED), tourniquet, surgical masks and hydroalcoholic gel.

Program

• Theme I : Round table discussion

  Content :

  • Presentation of the trainer, trainees and training.

• Theme II : Updating the legal framework

  Content :

  • Possible updating of the legal frameworks for SST and their intervention.

• Theme III : Feedback from experiences (RETEX)

  Content :

  • Sharing and analyzing experiences in first aid.

• Theme IV : PREFAS

  Content :

  • Protect: Analyze the accident and implement appropriate protection.
  • Examine: Recognize the victim’s vital signs.
  • Alert or alert: Define the elements of the alert message.

• Theme V : First aid gestures

  Content :

  • Master the 8 first aid skills for various situations.
  • How to safely use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

• Theme VI : Evaluation and validation

  Content :

  • Certification tests based on the INRS reference framework.
  • Obtaining the SST certificate after validation of skills.

Training validation

SST certificate issued after successful completion of the certification tests and complete completion of the training.
