Maintaining and Updating Skills and Refresher Training for Prevention and Security Agents

Target audience

Prevention and security agents holding a professional card or in the process of renewing it.

Prerequisites

• Hold a valid SST, AFPS, PSC1 or PSE less than 2 years old.
• Hold a professional card stating ‘human surveillance’, ‘guarding’ or ‘electronic surveillance’.
• Have prior authorization to enter training from the CNAPS.
• Provide proof of a B1 level of French for foreign nationals (according to the European framework).
• Clean B3 criminal record.
• Residence permit (for foreigners outside the EU) issued at least 5 years ago.

Educational objectives

• Maintain and update the skills required for renewal of the professional card.
• Allow trainees to continue working in private security.
• Develop operational skills: conflict management, inspection and screening, prevention of terrorist risks.

PSH accessibility

Training accessible to people with disabilities subject to a medical certificate and a prior interview to organize a suitable environment.

Educational and technical tools

• Computers, video projectors, whiteboard.
• Course materials, practical exercises, case studies.
• Videos and photos for simulating realistic situations.
• Role-playing with handling fire extinguishers and RIA.

Knowledge assessment

• Oral assessment throughout the training.
• QCU (Single Choice Questionnaire) at the end of the training.

• Part I : Principles and Values of the Republic

  Duration : 3 hours

• Part II : Legal framework for intervention by private security agents

  Duration : 4 hours

• Part I : General Operational Skills

  Content :

  • Managing conflicts (3.5 hours).
  • Mastering inspection-filtering measures (3.5 hours).

• Part II : Specific operational skills: prevention of terrorist risks

  Content :

  • The different threats (1h30).
  • The associated risk levels (1 hour).
  • The different terrorist materials (1 hour).
  • Reflexes (1 hour).
  • Safety culture (30 min).
  • Detect and prevent (1 hour).
  • Protecting yourself (2h30).
  • Alert and facilitate the intervention of law enforcement (2 hours).
  • Rescue (2h30).
