Target audience

Holders of the SSIAP1 diploma having worked as a security agent for at least 1607 hours over 24 months, wishing to become a Fire Safety Team Leader.

Prerequisites

  • Hold the AFPS or PSC1 acquired less than 2 years ago, or a valid CFAPSE, PSE1, or SST.
  • Hold the SSIAP1 diploma.
  • Have worked as a security guard for at least 1607 hours over 24 months (certificate required).
  • Medical certificate of physical fitness less than 3 months old.

Educational objectives

  • Acquire the knowledge necessary to lead a team of fire safety officers.
  • Apply fire safety regulations.
  • Manage the security post during disasters.
  • Provide assistance to people.
  • Provide staff training.
  • Prepare for passing and obtaining the SSIAP2 diploma issued by the SDIS.

Educational and technical tools

  • Training room equipped with video projector and whiteboard.
  • Paper teaching materials.
  • Security log.
  • Fire signaling panel connected to detectors or manual triggers, or simulation software.

Knowledge assessment

  • Theoretical test: MCQ (40 questions).
  • Oral test: leading a teaching sequence (15 minutes per trainee).
  • Practical test: central post management exercise in a crisis situation (20 minutes per trainee).

  • Part I : Role and missions of the Team Leader

    Duration : 40 hours

    Content :

    • Management and leadership of a team.
  • Part II : Handling of fire safety systems

    Duration : 10 hours

    Content :

    • Knowledge and handling of signaling panels.
    • Identification and interpretation of signals.
  • Part III : Occupational health and safety in relation to fire safety

    Duration : 4 hours

    Content :

    • Applicable provisions in occupational health and safety.
  • Part IV : Head of the central security post in a crisis situation

    Duration : 16 hours

    Content :

    • Knowledge of procedures and instructions.
    • Stakeholder management.
    • Making appropriate decisions.
    • Implementation of means to facilitate the action of firefighters.

Training validation

  • SSIAP2 Team Leader Certificate after successful completion of theoretical and practical tests.
  • Certificate of competence valid for 3 years.
